Closing the Gap

Each year, hundreds of families who lose their home to a disaster are quickly put on the path toward recovery.

Each year, more than 500 military families are connected during times of emergency.

Each year, more than 45,000 people take a step in the right direction by getting trained
in lifesaving skills.

Each year, more than 17,000 trips to and from medical appointments keep patients from
losing their independence.

Each year, more than 50,000 blood products are used to save lives.

Thanks to the volunteers and donors of the Greater Carolinas Chapter of the American Red Cross, this chapter has been closing these gaps for nearly 100 years. During our one-hour annual fundraising luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, at The Westin Hotel in Charlotte (directions), you will hear clients’ stories and discover a thing or two about the Red Cross that you may not know. This fundraiser is free to attend.
