Become a Hero

“Hometown Heroes” is an American Red Cross grassroots fund raising campaign allowing the American Red Cross to partner with local community groups, businesses and individuals to raise funds for the 24 hours a day, 365 days a year services provided by the Greater Carolinas Red Cross.

With your help, the Greater Carolinas Chapter of the American Red Cross can reach its goals of raising funds, increasing visibility of the Red Cross in the community, involving current volunteers and recruiting new ones.

WHO:

Individuals, businesses, school clubs, civic groups, churches and other organizations in the Mooresville and Statesville areas of Iredell County and North Mecklenberg County.

WHAT:

Pledge to raise $1,000 for the Greater Carolinas Red Cross to benefit the Statesville and Mooresville branch serving areas.

WHEN:

March 1, 2009 – June 30, 2009

WHY:

To help support lifesaving programs and services of the branch offices in Mooresville and Statesville serving areas.

HOW:

Be creative! Talk to your friends, family, business owners, and churches, sponsor car washes, bake sales, raffles, etc.

Directions:
Take I-77 North to exit 36. At the top of the ramp, veer to the right, headed east toward downtown Mooresville.  You will be on NC-150 (Plaza Drive).  Go approximately .6 miles and turn left at the traffic light onto Talbert Road.  After about .5 miles, cross Gates Road then take the first left onto Overhill Drive.  The Lake Norman office will be about .5 miles on your right.
