Carolina News Channel 36 to Hold 4th Annual Blood Drive August 27
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – WCNC-TV, News Channel 36, will hold its 4th Annual Blood Drive, Thursday, August 27 in support of the American Red Cross. All presenting donors will be entered into a drawing to win one of three $1,000 gas cards.
Scheduled drives will be held at the following locations and times:

The Carolinas Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross provides lifesaving blood to 103 hospitals and must have 1,600 people give blood and platelets each weekday to meet hospital demand.
Blood can be safely donated every 56 days. Platelets can be given safely every two weeks, up to 24 times a year. Most healthy people age 17 and older (16 with parental consent) who weigh at least 110 pounds, are eligible to donate blood and platelets.
